Unsit Treadmill Desk Bundle Review
The Unsit is an office treadmill built for walking slowly for hours under a standing desk, and iMovR sells it paired with its own desks, most often the Lander. It has the widest belt of any under-desk treadmill we cover and an unusually solid frame. It also has a price to match and a product page that contradicts itself on weight limit, motor and warranty.

What we checked, and what we have not done. On 14 October 2026 we checked the Unsit and the Lander on iMovR's own store, including the product data behind each listing, then against independent coverage: Treadmill Review Guru's hands-on Unsit review (July 2024), an independent walking-pad tracker's Unsit page (February 2026), and The Gadgeteer (January 2025). We also read WorkWhileWalking's lab-tested review, but WorkWhileWalking was founded by Ron Wiener, who is also named as iMovR's chief executive, so we do not count it as independent and say where we use it. The card carries only figures that iMovR and at least one independent source agree on. iMovR's own Unsit page gives three user weight limits (300, 350 and 400 lb), two motor ratings and three warranty statements, and its Lander listings give different height ranges; we print none of those as fact. We searched cpsc.gov for iMovR, InMovement and Unsit and found no recall or warning. We have not tested the Unsit or the Lander. Prices are those listed on 14 October 2026 and change often. The Amazon button is a tagged search: an independent tracker reported in February 2026 that the Unsit is sold direct only. We earn a commission if you buy through it; that does not change what we say.
In This Guide
An Unsit treadmill desk bundle is two products from two companies sold as one set: the Unsit office treadmill, made by InMovement, and a standing desk from iMovR, which sells both. The treadmill is the unusual part β a 30-inch-wide, 40-inch-long belt, a 2 mph ceiling and a 162 lb steel frame, built for all-day walking rather than exercise. The desk is the part that decides whether it works for you. This review sets out what the set costs today, what we could confirm, where iMovR's own listing conflicts with itself, and who should pay for it.
1. The Short Answer
The Unsit treadmill desk bundle is the most heavily built under-desk walking set we cover, and it is worth its price only if you will walk at your desk for hours almost every working day. The Unsit's 30-inch-wide belt is its defining feature: at desk pace, with your eyes on a screen, your feet drift, and on a 16-inch walking pad that drift puts you on the edge of the belt. On the Unsit it mostly does not matter. Add a steel frame, weight sensors that stop the belt when you step off, and a step-up of five inches, and it is the right shape of machine for long, slow office walking.
The problems are cost and paperwork. The treadmill alone was $2,595 on iMovR's store on 14 October 2026, and a Lander desk wide enough to straddle it adds $1,295 or more. iMovR's own Unsit page states three different user weight limits, two motor ratings and three different warranty statements, and its Lander pages give different height ranges. None of that means the product is bad. It means you should get the weight limit, the warranty and the desk height for your exact configuration in writing before you order.
Buy the set if you work standing for long stretches and want the treadmill to disappear into the workday. Buy a good walking pad and a tall desk instead if you will walk an hour a day, if you want to jog, or if the budget matters. We have not tested the Unsit or the Lander; this review is built from iMovR's listings and independent coverage, all checked on 14 October 2026.
1. iMovR Unsit Treadmill with Lander Standing Desk
Office Treadmill Desk Set (Unsit + Lander)
Unsit: 30 x 40 in. belt Β· up to 2.0 mph Β· 5 in. step-up Β· 162 lb Β· 39 x 56 in. footprint Β· lifetime frame warranty
The Unsit is an office treadmill made by InMovement and sold by iMovR, which pairs it with its own standing desks. iMovR and independent coverage agree on a 30 by 40-inch walking surface, a top speed of 2.0 mph, a 5-inch step-up, a 162 lb unit weight, a footprint of about 39 by 56 inches and a lifetime frame warranty; iMovR gives a noise level of 42.9 dB at ear level at 2 mph. Control is a rotary speed knob, with two weight sensors that prevent accidental starts and stop the belt when you step off, and a Bluetooth app that syncs with Apple Health and Fitbit. The Lander is iMovR's American-made standing desk; iMovR says the Unsit needs a desk with at least 40 inches between its lifting columns and a desktop of 53 inches or wider, and lists a maximum Lander height of 56.5 inches with its 6-inch height extenders. iMovR no longer shows a single bundle price: on 14 October 2026 the Unsit was $2,595 and a Lander with a laminate top $1,295 to $1,695 in the compatible widths.
What Works
- A 30-inch-wide belt, roughly double a typical walking pad, so drifting sideways while you type matters far less
- Heavy steel frame, weight sensors that stop the belt when you step off, and a low 5-inch step-up
- iMovR publishes which of its desks fit the Unsit and how high each reaches with its height extenders
- Independent coverage consistently describes it as quiet and solidly built
What Doesn't
- Expensive: $2,595 for the treadmill alone, and about $3,890 to $4,290 with a Lander desk wide enough for it
- iMovRβs own listing gives 300, 350 and 400 lb user limits and two motor ratings, so get the figure in writing
- Needs at least 40 inches between the deskβs lifting columns and a desktop of 53 inches or wider
- 162 lb and 39 inches wide: hard to move, and returns cost $280 to $500 in freight
- Tops out at 2 mph, with no incline: a desk walking machine, not an exercise treadmill
For someone who will walk for hours every working day at a desk and wants a wide, quiet, heavily built treadmill under a stable desk β and who gets the weight limit and warranty in writing first.
2. What the Unsit Treadmill Desk Bundle Actually Is
iMovR has sold treadmill desks for more than a decade. It used to make its own treadmill, the ThermoTread GT, which it has discontinued; the Unsit, made by InMovement, replaced it. InMovement builds the treadmill and handles its warranty service, technical support and returns; iMovR sells it, and sells the desks it goes under.
The word "bundle" needs a qualification. iMovR's older Lander and Unsit set page now redirects to its treadmill-desk collection, which shows combinations β the Unsit with a Lander, with a Lander and SteadyType keyboard tray, with a solid-wood Lander, with a McHale TreadTop chair, and with a Jaxson desk and Energy Stool β but sells each piece as its own product, with its own price. On 14 October 2026 we found no single bundle product with a combined price in iMovR's store. In practice, the bundle is the Unsit plus a compatible desk in one order.
That has one practical consequence iMovR spells out on the Unsit page: a desk and treadmill bought together ship separately, from different locations, by different carriers, with separate tracking. Plan for two deliveries, possibly on different days, and for the desk to be assembled and level before the treadmill goes under it.
Why the Lander
The Lander is iMovR's long-running standing desk, made in the USA, with a steel C-frame and a gesture control paddle with memory presets and Bluetooth. iMovR pairs it with the Unsit more than any other desk, and its compatibility table gives the Lander the highest maximum height of its desks when fitted with height extenders β the figure that matters most once you are standing on a deck. The P1 and Jaxson desks are listed as compatible too.
3. The Unsit Treadmill: Confirmed Figures and Conflicts
The table separates what iMovR and independent coverage agree on from what they do not.
| Item | What the sources say | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Walking surface | 30 x 40 in. | Confirmed |
| Top speed | 2.0 mph | Confirmed |
| Starting speed | 0.3 mph or 0.1 mph | iMovR's page gives both |
| Step-up height | 5 in. | Confirmed |
| Unit weight | 162 lb | Confirmed |
| Footprint | 39 x 56 x 8.9 in. | Confirmed |
| Noise | 42.9 dB at ear level, 2 mph | iMovR's figure |
| Max user weight | 300, 350 or 400 lb | Conflicting |
| Motor | 2.0 HP or 2.75 HP at 4,000 RPM | Conflicting |
| Warranty | Lifetime frame; other terms differ | Frame confirmed; rest conflicting |
A wide, short belt
Thirty inches of width is the Unsit's reason to exist. Most walking pads run 15 to 18 inches wide, and at desk pace β often below 2 mph, eyes on a screen β feet wander. A wide belt absorbs that wandering. Forty inches of length is short, but it is enough for a walking stride at 2 mph, which is all the machine does. The catch, which WorkWhileWalking's review points out, is that a short deck has to sit in the right place under the desk: too far back and you walk off the front of your stride, too far forward and the console is out of reach. Households where people of different heights share the desk may need to reposition it. Ourbelt size guidecovers stride arithmetic.
Two miles an hour, on purpose
iMovR describes the 2.0 mph ceiling as deliberate, keeping the user in the range of low-intensity movement that can be sustained while typing and talking. That is consistent with how most people actually use a treadmill desk: typing accuracy and call quality fall off quickly above about 2 mph. It also means the Unsit is not an exercise treadmill. If you want a brisk walk or a jog after work, this machine will not do it. Our guide towalking speedsputs 2 mph in context.
The weight limit: three numbers
iMovR's Unsit page says 350 lb in its feature list and description, 300 lb in its specification table, and 400 lb in its key specifications and marketing panel. Independent sources split the same way: one hands-on review lists 400 lb, and an independent tracker treats 300 lb as authoritative. WorkWhileWalking's review, which we do not count as independent, reports that the Unsit was first marketed at 400 lb and that its reviewers de-rated it to 300 lb. We have not picked one. If your weight is anywhere near 300 lb, ask iMovR or InMovement for the rated limit in writing, and ask whether the warranty depends on it. Ourweight capacity guideexplains what the rating covers.
The motor: two ratings and an estimate
The same page describes a 2.75 HP high-torque motor in its marketing copy and 2.0 HP at 4,000 RPM in its specification table. It also lists a 600-watt electrical rating and a typical draw of 1.5 amps at 2 mph with a 170 lb walker. An independent tracker works from those electrical figures to estimate a continuous output well under 1 HP and reads both advertised figures as peak ratings. That is an estimate, not a measurement, and we have not verified it. What it illustrates is that neither horsepower number on the page is a continuous-duty rating, and that at 2 mph the motor is not being asked for much. Ourhorsepower guideexplains peak and continuous ratings.
4. Fitting the Unsit Under a Desk
The Unsit is wider than almost any other under-desk treadmill, and that changes which desks work. iMovR is unusually specific about it, and that specificity is one of the better reasons to buy the treadmill and desk from the same seller.
Width between the columns
iMovR says the Unsit pairs with standing desks that have at least 40 inches of free space between the lifting columns, and that any iMovR desk with a 53-inch or wider desktop is a match. An independent hands-on review gives a similar figure, about 42 inches between the legs. In iMovR's table, Lander desktops of 53 to 95 inches are compatible, and those of 83 inches and wider leave room for a chair beside the treadmill β what iMovR calls a sit-stand-walk layout, which needs at least 70 inches between the legs. The narrowest Lander desktop iMovR sells, 47 inches, is too narrow.
Height: the number that decides comfort
Standing on a 5-inch deck raises your elbows by about five inches, so the desk has to go that much higher than it would for standing alone. iMovR's compatibility table gives the maximum desk height with its optional 6-inch height extenders as 56.5 inches for the Lander, 56.0 for the Lander Lite, 53.6 for the Jaxson and 46.625 for the Q Desk. The extenders cost $85 for a set of two for the Lander on 14 October 2026.
The Lander's height range without extenders is less clear. One iMovR Lander listing gives a surface height of 23 to 49.125 inches for the current Lander, its solid-wood listing gives 22.75 to 48.75 inches with the top, and WorkWhileWalking's review lists 24.5 to 50.5 inches. Those ranges differ by more than an inch at the top, which is enough to matter for a tall walker. Work out the height you need with ourguide to standing desk height on a walking deck, then ask iMovR to confirm the range for the exact frame and desktop you are ordering, and whether you need the extenders.
Keyboard and monitor
iMovR sells SteadyType keyboard trays designed for typing while walking β $385 and $485 on 14 October 2026 β which hold the keyboard at a downward angle. A tray lowers the keyboard relative to the desktop; it does not add height, so it does not fix a desk that is too low. Put the monitor at eye level for your standing-on-deck height, not your floor height. Ourtreadmill desk guidecovers set-up.
5. What the Bundle Costs
Because iMovR sells the pieces separately, the bundle price is a sum. These are the prices on iMovR's store on 14 October 2026.
| Item | Price listed |
|---|---|
| Unsit Desk Treadmill | $2,595 |
| Lander, 3D laminate, 30 x 53 in. (narrowest compatible) | $1,295 |
| Lander, 3D laminate, 30 x 59 in. to 30 x 77 in. | $1,395-$1,695 |
| Lander, solid wood desktop | From $2,570 |
| Height extenders (set of 2, Lander) | $85 |
| SteadyType keyboard tray | $385-$485 |
| Unsit inside delivery / white-glove install | $249 / $499 |
An Unsit with the narrowest compatible laminate Lander comes to $3,890 before extras; with the widest laminate Lander, $4,290. Add extenders, a keyboard tray and white-glove installation and a fully specified set passes $5,000. The Unsit's own price has moved: an independent tracker recorded $2,495 in February 2026 and a previous $2,795, a 2024 review listed $2,795, and iMovR's store showed $2,595 on the day we checked. iMovR runs periodic sales, so it is worth watching for a few weeks; we cannot say what it will cost on any future date.
That is the cost of the set. The cost of the idea is lower: a good walking pad and a standing desk tall enough for it can be had for well under half as much, as ourtreadmill desk roundupshows. The Unsit is worth the difference only for its width, its frame and long daily sessions.
6. Delivery, Installation and Returns
iMovR's Unsit page sets out the delivery terms in more detail than most sellers.
- Where: the lower 48 states, by freight from InMovement's warehouse in Indianapolis. Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and other destinations need a custom quote.
- Kerbside delivery (free): the carrier delivers the pallet onto your property and is not obliged to bring it inside.
- Inside delivery ($249): the carrier brings it to a room of your choice; in office buildings, only past the first threshold.
- White-glove service ($499): a local treadmill technician installs it where you want it and removes the packaging.
- Timing: two to three business days to process and two to ten in transit, with iMovR noting that lead times are highly variable.
At 162 lb and 39 inches wide, the Unsit is wider than many interior doorways once unboxed, and heavy enough that kerbside delivery leaves you a real job. iMovR describes rolling it in on its front wheels or carrying the carton in by its straps with two people. If stairs are involved, the white-glove option is worth pricing. Ourguide to moving a treadmillcovers the safe way to do it.
Returns: possible, but expensive
iMovR offers a full refund on the Unsit within 30 days, minus shipping, with conditions: written authorisation first, the treadmill repacked in its original carton on its original pallet, and return freight paid by you β iMovR estimates $280 to $500. Inside-delivery and white-glove fees are not refunded. Keep the packaging and pallet until you are sure. The Lander's laminate desks carry a separate 100-day satisfaction guarantee, refunded minus a 20% restocking fee because they are built to order. Ourguide to return policiesexplains what to check.
7. The Warranty: Three Statements on One Page
The Unsit's warranty is the other figure iMovR's page does not state consistently. Its warranty section, which says coverage, servicing and technical support are provided by InMovement, lists a lifetime frame, two years on parts and one year of labour; a 2024 independent hands-on review gives the same terms. Higher on the same page, a badge reads "3-Year Motor Warranty", and the key specifications say "lifetime frame warranty and 10 year warranty on motors and electronics". WorkWhileWalking's review lists three years on parts.
The lifetime frame term is consistent everywhere and is on the card. For the rest, the conservative reading is the warranty section β two years on parts and one year of labour β because it is the one that names who provides the cover and matches independent coverage. Ask InMovement or iMovR to confirm the motor term in writing before you order, since a 10-year motor term and a 2-year parts term describe very different ownership costs.
The Lander's own warranty, as iMovR's desk page states it, is lifetime on the steel frame, 10 years on motors and electronics, 10 years on 3D-laminate desktops and 5 years on solid-wood desktops. Some older reviews and owner comments quote 15 years on the desk's parts; the current listing says 10. Ourwarranty guidecovers how to read a split like this.
8. What Independent Coverage Consistently Reports
We only repeat an observation here if it appears in more than one source, and we do not count WorkWhileWalking towards that.
It is quiet. The hands-on independent review describes it as very quiet, with mainly a swishing sound from the belt, and the independent tracker lists quiet operation among its strengths. iMovR's 42.9 dB figure is its own measurement.
It is solidly built. Every source we read, including The Gadgeteer's short first look, comments on the wide base and heavy, reinforced frame.
It is expensive and bulky. Every source we read lists price as a drawback, and its width and weight come up repeatedly as limits on where it can go and how easily it moves.
The controls are minimal. The treadmill has a speed knob and an LED speed indicator; distance, steps and time live in the Bluetooth app, which syncs with Apple Health and Fitbit. Reviewers describe this as simple and space-saving, and also note you need the app for any data.
Owner ratings for the Unsit on iMovR's own store are based on very few reviews, so we have not leaned on them. Our guide toreading treadmill reviewsexplains why small samples mislead.
9. Living With It: Use, Safety and Maintenance
An office treadmill does a lot of slow miles. A few habits keep it running and keep you safe on it.
Use the weight sensors as intended. iMovR describes two sensors under the deck that prevent accidental starts and stop the belt when you step off. That is a genuine safety feature in an office or a home with children, but it is not a reason to leave the machine powered when unattended. Use the safety tether, and switch it off at the end of the day.
Lubricate on schedule. Long, slow sessions put steady friction on the belt and deck. WorkWhileWalking's review reports that the Unsit is harder to lubricate than most treadmills, so follow the owner's manual for the method and interval rather than general advice. Ourbelt lubrication guidecovers the principle.
Level it. A treadmill that rocks under a desk transmits movement to your hands and screen. WorkWhileWalking's review reports that the front corners lack levelling pads, so check it sits flat and shim it if necessary.
Build up gradually. Walking for hours a day is a lot for anyone who has been sitting. Start with shorter sessions at a slow pace and add time over weeks. Our guides to how long to walkand to desk heighthelp with comfort. This is equipment advice, not medical advice; if you have a health condition, ask your doctor how much walking suits you.
10. Alternatives on This Site
Most buyers comparing the Unsit set are choosing between three approaches.
Another integrated set. Ourbest treadmill desksroundup includes UPLIFT's desk and walking-pad set, which costs far less and adds incline, but has a narrower pad and a lower desk maximum.
A standing desk plus a walking pad. This is how most people end up with a treadmill desk, and it is usually much cheaper. Ourunder-desk treadmill guideand walking pad buying guidecover the pads; the roundup above covers desks that rise high enough. What you give up is the Unsit's width and its heavy frame.
A heavier-duty walking pad. If weight capacity is the concern, ourwalking pads for heavier usersroundup lists pads with confirmed ratings. And if you want to walk faster or jog as well as work, a walking pad with a higher top speed, or a folding treadmill, does what the Unsit deliberately does not; seewalking pad versus folding treadmill.
11. Who Should Buy It, and Who Should Not
Buy the set if you will walk for hours every working day. The Unsit's width, frame and weight sensors are built for exactly that, and the cost per hour of use falls quickly for a daily walker.
Buy it if you are fitting out an office. iMovR's compatibility table, InMovement's service arrangement and the quiet operation reported by independent sources all suit a shared workplace.
Do not buy it to exercise. Two mph and no incline make it a desk machine. If you want workouts, buy a treadmill.
Do not buy it until the weight limit is in writing if you are anywhere near 300 lb, given the three figures on iMovR's own page.
Buy a walking pad and a tall desk instead if you will walk an hour or two a day, if your desk space is narrow, or if the budget matters. That route costs well under half as much and does the core job.
12. Frequently Asked Questions
Does iMovR sell an Unsit treadmill desk bundle?
iMovR shows Unsit and desk combinations β most often with a Lander β but on 14 October 2026 it sold each piece separately rather than as one priced bundle. The Unsit was $2,595 and a compatible laminate Lander $1,295 to $1,695, so a set came to about $3,890 to $4,290 before extenders, a keyboard tray or installation. The desk and treadmill ship separately.
What desk does the Unsit treadmill fit under?
iMovR says the Unsit needs at least 40 inches between a desk's lifting columns, and that any iMovR desk with a 53-inch or wider desktop fits. It lists Lander, Lander Lite, Jaxson and Q Desk models, with maximum heights of 56.5, 56.0, 53.6 and 46.625 inches respectively using its 6-inch height extenders.
What is the weight limit of the iMovR Unsit?
It is not consistent. iMovR's own page says 300 lb in its specification table, 350 lb in its description and 400 lb in its key specifications. Independent sources split between 300 and 400 lb. If you are near 300 lb, get the rated limit in writing from iMovR or InMovement before ordering.
How fast does the Unsit treadmill go?
Up to 2.0 mph, which iMovR describes as deliberate for walking while working. iMovR's page gives a starting speed of 0.3 mph in one place and 0.1 mph in another. There is no incline. It is a desk walking machine, not an exercise treadmill.
Is the Unsit treadmill quiet?
iMovR gives 42.9 dB measured at ear level at 2 mph, and independent coverage consistently describes it as quiet, with the belt rather than the motor making most of the sound. Footfall on a suspended floor is a separate matter; a mat and a light step help.
What warranty comes with the Unsit?
iMovR's warranty section, provided by InMovement, lists a lifetime frame, two years on parts and one year of labour, matching an independent review. The same page also shows a 3-year motor badge and a 10-year motors-and-electronics statement. The lifetime frame is consistent; confirm the rest in writing. The Lander desk has its own warranty.
Common Mistakes Buying an Unsit Treadmill Desk
The Unsit is a specialised machine, and most regrets come from the desk, the delivery or the paperwork rather than the treadmill.
Ordering a desk that is too narrow or too low
The Unsit needs at least 40 inches between the desk's lifting columns, and a 53-inch or wider desktop on iMovR's desks. Standing on a 5-inch deck also needs a desk about five inches higher than your standing height. Check both, and ask iMovR to confirm the height range for your exact Lander frame and top, since its listings differ.
Taking the highest weight figure on the page
iMovR's Unsit page states 300, 350 and 400 lb in different places. A buyer near the top of that range who relies on 400 could find the rated figure is 300. Ask for the limit in writing, and ask whether exceeding it affects the warranty, before you order.
Choosing kerbside delivery for an upstairs office
Free kerbside delivery leaves a 162 lb, 39-inch-wide machine on your driveway. Getting it up stairs and through doors takes several people. Price inside delivery ($249) or white-glove installation ($499) against the help you have, and measure doorways first.
Throwing away the pallet
The 30-day return requires written authorisation, the original carton and the original pallet, and return freight costs you $280 to $500. Keep all of the packaging until you are sure, and walk on the machine at your normal pace for full working sessions in the first days so any problem shows up in time.
